With a background in Gender Studies, and a love of the hands-on, practical and creative, Heather has been focused on the study of reproductive health and pregnancy throughout her education in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Taking courses with experts in the field of obstetric acupuncture like Debra Betts, and completing multiple clinical intensive trainings at NYU-Lutheran Hospital in Brooklyn, NY with Claudia Citkovitz, PhD., Heather has been inspired by how she has witnessed acupuncture benefit expecting parents and is excited to continue to learn, grow and collaborate with the AcuBirthing community in Toronto to make acupuncture for birth a common and accessible practice.
